Mountain biking is very popular in Germany and the Harz can offer some great tracks. With over 1,800Km of well signposted mountain track routes. For something a little different you can check out the Bike Flying competition in Braunlage

Bikepark Braunlage

The seven unique downhill tracks on Mount Wurmberg will test all levels of skill. With a combined length of 4,500 meters at an altitude of 972 meters at the summit and a downhill drop of 411 meters between mountain and valley, with jumps and racetracks.

Bikepark Hahnenklee

Fast fun, for beginners and experts alike at the Bike Park Hahnenklee. With seven downhill trails there is a level for the younger riders as well as the seasoned. Mountain Bikes can be rented at the Boards Bikes, directly by the cable car station. Just let the cable car carry you and your bikes to the summit and than freewheel down.

Rosstrappen Downhill Thale

The downhill course at the Ross Trappe is a very special experience in the middle of the legendary Bode Valley for all lovers of downhill sport. The first and only official downhill racing track in Saxony-Anhalt and holder of many yearly competitions; so come and ride where the champions do!

Volkbank Arena Harz

The Harz Volksbank Arena offers everything from 69 signposted trails for scenic, leisurely tours to extremely challenging routes with long ascents and single-passage trails. To help you get your bearings, all trails are signposted according to three levels of difficulty.
